Harris Invictus 9 Meridian High 0

Second game on the road for the year 7 Invictus team and the performance was emphatic.

From minute 1 until the final Whistle, Invictus were relentless in their onslaught on the Meridian goal. Joshua Abu opened the scoring inside 5 minutes with a superb individual run which took him passed several players, he then blasted home from close range. Ridwan Mahamodali stepped into midfield for today's fixture and after a series of passes with Viera Brown, calmly slotted the ball under the oncoming keeper.

Invictus continued to pile on the pressure and were rewarded for their efforts with a third goal inside 15 minutes when Laquay Coleman played a neat give and go on the edge of the Meridian box which provided Laquay with a one on one situation with the Meridian keeper who was unable to deal with the power of Lequay's strike.

The relentless attacking quartet added 2 more goals before the break with Viera getting his first of the game and Laquay Coleman scoring the goal of the match with a thunderous strike from 25 yards taking the score to 5-0 at half time.

There is always a risk that complacency can set in when a team is winning by such a margin but Invictus set out with the same intent and quickly added a 6th through Josh Abu who dazzled the defence yet again with a mesmerising run and composed finish. Josh then latched on to a fast break to get his hat-trick after great work defensively from Amadou.

Viera Brown not to be outdone by Josh then completed the thumping by adding 2 more late goals to claim his own hat-trick and leave the finishing scoreline a convincing 9-0.
