YEAR 10
Dear Families,
From Monday 16th June to Monday 30th June, all Year 10 students will be sitting their end of year assessments. Students will attend all lessons as normal outside of the exam windows. The timetable for this is attached.
Students will sit all exams in our hall, and they will receive an additional personalised timetable that includes the subjects and tiers that they will be sitting. (Click here for Exam schedule)
These summer assessments are a very important end to the year and will provide a projection as to what next year might look like for each child. They will allow us, as an academy, to make informed decisions on groupings, tiers, etc. for Year 11. They will give us a clear indication of their progress to date, and we will be able to get an idea of the grades students are working at, as well as what gaps in knowledge they might have, which we can look to close, during their final year.
I would encourage you to ensure they revise thoroughly before the exams so they can achieve the best outcome possible. Please refer to the revision list on the website.
As public GCSE exams are underway, there is an opportunity for our Year 10 students to sit in on virtual masterclasses, if possible, across several subjects, focusing on paper 1 content. To do this, they will need to register here:
All students are expected to arrive and attend tutor time at 8:30 am and come fully prepared, including bringing all writing and specialist equipment and their ID cards. All examination regulations in relation to mobile phones, other electronic devices and conduct must be adhered to during these assessments. Students will be removed from assessments if they fail to follow these rules.
We will provide full written reports for all Year 10 students to give feedback on their performance in these assessments, following and these will be with you by the end of the Academic year.
Please contact subject teachers with any questions or queries. Plus reminder to go back and review the previous revision below.
