Great day at with Harris Experience Y10 students focusing on a variety of STEM subjects, as well as opportunities to get involved with the university! Students have been asked some very tough scientific questions and really had a chance to apply their knowledge.

We’ve just set sail from Calais, leaving 🇫🇷 and heading for 🇬🇧! See you soon Dover!

It’s au revoir Paris as we are now on our way home! It’s been an amazing few days; students have shown real aspiration & courage with their speaking & understanding in French! It’s now back to the ferry in the rain for us!

A cultured morning exploring the Louvre; we are very impressed with Ms. Fossey and her history/art knowledge! We Know. We Can. We Will.

It’s our final morning but we have a special treat before we go - a few hours around the Louvre & the beautiful Tuileries Garden before we leave at midday!

Another day of exploring with a street market, French shops, lunch by the Tour Eiffel and a walk over the river We Know. We Can. We Will.

Amazing views of the Tour Eiffel from our boat trip! It’s a bit windy on the river but we have some of the best seats onboard! We Know. We Can. We Will.

Bonjour! We are on the river this morning onboard the ‘Le Mulet Coureau’; an amazing way to see the sights as we cruise along the Seine We Know. We Can. We Will.

Stunning views and amazing street art today! The weather was on our side all day long. Met up with our pen pals, wandered around Montmartre and got to the top of La Tour Montparnasse. Quelle journée!#HIACParis2019

Stunning views as we visited the Panoramic Observatory at (Tour Montparnasse), 210m above Paris! We did both the inside and outside observation decks! We Know. We Can. We Will.

An arty morning exploring the cobbled backstreets... oh and plenty of steps! We Know. We Can. We Will.

Lunch with a view at Montmartre! The sun is out and it’s a beautiful little park to rest in! We Know. We Can. We Will.

What a morning of exploring! We met up with the French school we’ve been swapping letters with and have been taking in the culture of Montmartre! We Know. We Can. We Will.

We’ve got our very own tour guide in Ms. Fossey who’s been pointing out the sites this morning! We’ve arrive at our first stop of the day, Sacré Coeur 🇫🇷 We Know. We Can. We Will.

And we’ve arrived!! 🇫🇷 We are here safe and sound in our accommodation; students are unpacking in their rooms and looking forward to dinner at 7pm French time!

489 miles down and for some reason all we can hear is ‘are we nearly there yet...?!’ Our current view of Paris is equivalent to the M25 at rush hour!! But... we are nearly there!!

Getting closer now! A quick pit stop for lunch and officially 100km from ! We are heading straight to our accommodation to settle in when we arrive We Know. We Can. We Will.

Action to Tackle Air Pollution in Croydon

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

Invitation - Action to Tackle Air Pollution in Croydon, 20th October 10.30 - 12.30.  Whitehorse Manor Schools - Brigstock Road site.  129-133 Brigstock Rd

As a school we are keen to keep building relationships with our local community and support action to tackle issues we face in our lives beyond the classroom. One such issue is air pollution, which you'll know is sadly a significant problem across London and in parts of Croydon too. Working with local Councillors in the London Road and Thornton Heath area - Cllr Muhammad Ali (Broad Green Ward); Cllrs Stuart King and Janet Campbell (West Thornton Ward) and Cllr Jamie Audsley (Bensham Manor Ward), we want to invite you to a public meeting to take action on this issue.

We hope you can join this fun and friendly event to understand the facts about air pollution in our area and shape the way forward for creating a clean and healthy Croydon. As a school leadership team we'll also be in touch with the councillors and work with you to take practical action too.

The event will enable everyone to:

1) Understand the situation and impact of air pollution in our borough

2) Explore possible solutions to tackle air pollution - especially around schools and for young people

3) Contribute to the design of Croydon's Air Quality Strategy and Action Plan

Kind regards

Ms R. Davis
