The permanent building for Harris Invictus Academy Croydon will not now be ready for the school to move into until the 2017/18 academic year. The Secretary of State has agreed an exceptional case to reduce the Admission number to 120 from the previously published 180 due to restrictions in accommodation available for the 2016/17 academic year. This decision overrides the Admissions Arrangements previously published.
If we are oversubscribed, children with a statement of Special Educational Need that names the Academy will be given places first, followed by Looked After and Former Looked After children.
Children who live closest to the Academy will be prioritised next.
No supplementary application forms will be required at this stage and admissions will simply be managed through the LA’s Common Application Form.
All applicants applying for Harris Federation schools will undertake a standardised non-verbal reasoning test. The Harris Federation will contact all interested parents to inform them of the location and date of this test later this term. Only one standardised non-verbal reasoning test will be taken by applicants, irrespective of how many Harris Federation schools have been applied for.
To apply for a place, please name Harris Invictus Academy Croydon on the London Borough of Croydon’s online application form. If you don’t live in Croydon, you can still apply – just name the Academy on the application form for the borough in which you live.
