Tutor Groups 2019-2020
Tutor groups
Each child at Harris Invictus Academy Croydon is allocated a form tutor and tutor group. A form tutor’s role is central in both caring for students and monitoring their progress both academically and socially; encouraging involvement, commitment, and high standards of work and behaviour. The form tutor is often the bridge of communication between home and the school. The tutor group in which students are placed also represents the faculty students are assigned too. Student will remain with this group throughout their five years of school.
Each morning students will be registered by their form tutor before attending their timetabled lessons. As part of this time students will also engage in a weekly tutor programme designed complement but also develop student beyond the curriculum subjects. The tutor programme consists of SMSC tasks, literacy activities, reading and a weekly assembly which they attend as a faculty.
