Keeping Safe Online a Parents / Carers Workshop

Keeping Safe Online- Workshop for Parents / Carers

Thursday 16th November: 5.00 – 6.30pm, Main Hall

Our children are connected to others everyday through social media - such as Facebook – using their phones / tablets and laptops. They are potentially at risk every time they go online or post a message or respond to “friend” request.

At Harris Invictus Academy we recognise that protecting your child from potential harm is one of your highest priorities. To help you better support your daughter / son we are offering all parents / carers an opportunity to come along to a FREE workshop – facilitated by Jonathan Taylor from Be Safe Online - a Harris Federation approved IT Safeguarding expert.

We will be holding this workshop in our Main Hall on Thursday 16th November 2017 between 5.00 – 6.30pm. This workshop will provide you with practical, straightforward advice and guidance on how best to monitor and support your child.

The session will come at the end of a day when ALL students will have had their own year specific workshop with Mr Taylor across the academy day. Staff will also have their own training session afterschool.

You are cordially invited to attend. If you have any questions regarding this matter please contact me via the email address below.

Mr. Nick Mallett

Assistant Principal – Safeguarding.
